Project Overview

Genesis Court is a three-storey private residence designed to make a confident architectural statement within its neighbourhood. The massing is organised as a composition of interlocking volumes — a textured grey base anchors the building to the ground while white cantilevered upper floors project outward, creating deep overhangs that shade the glazing below.
The ground floor opens through full-height glazing, drawing the landscape in and establishing a strong inside-outside connection. At the rear, a private pool deck with timber surround and a covered outdoor bar pavilion extends the living environment beyond the building envelope — designed to the same standard as the interior spaces.
Design Approach
The cantilevered upper volumes do more than define the building's character — they provide passive shading to the glazed ground floor, reducing direct solar exposure without compromising light quality inside. The contrast between the textured grey base and clean white render above grounds the building materially while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic. The rear outdoor pavilion — a timber-framed structure with integrated bar and lounge seating — treats the garden as a functional extension of the home rather than residual space. Every element, from massing to landscape, is resolved with the same level of intention.
